The Spanish construction company OHL obtained in the first quarter a profit of 49.1 million euros (nearly 55 million dollars), 18.7 percent less than the same period of 2014.
In a statement to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV), the company said that the reduction made the Mexican subsidiary furnish 26.9 million euros (nearly 30 million) to the total benefit of the construction group.
According to the document, the total turnover of OHL was 916.6 million euros (nearly one billion dollars), 22.9 percent more than the same period last year.
Total income (before depreciation and amortization, expenses and taxes) totaled 263.9 million euros (295 million dollars), 5.4 percent lower than the first quarter of 2014.
