The Chilean workers are the fifth most time devoted to employment, as noted by a study by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD ) with corresponding 2014 figures.
Chile employees spend 1990 hours a year to work.
However, the study noted that first-time annual drops below 2,000 hours, reports the newspaper El Pais.
Chile is surpassed by Mexico, who leads the list with 2228 hours, followed by Costa Rica with 2216 hours.
The working day of the three Latin American countries are above average OECD is 1,770, so the report concludes that the figures characterize Latin America as a region with countries of long hours, but relatively low productivity per hour worked.
