The Chinese group HNA wants to buy the Swiss gategroup 1,200 million – Yahoo Finance Spain

The Chinese conglomerate HNA launch a takeover bid by Swiss gategroup, service provider on board in air transport, valuing it at 1,200 million euros announced Monday the Swiss group.

the Board of Directors of gategroup recommended its shareholders accept the takeover bid HNA.

the Chinese conglomerate proposes 53 Swiss francs per share to acquire the Swiss group. This represents a premium of 20.9% over the closing price on Friday of gategroup action.

The offer also exceeds by 37% the average price of the last 60 days, including the dividend for 2015, reports gategroup in a statement.

gategroup is a former subsidiary of Swissair, the Swiss airline went bankrupt in 2001. the company, which employs 28,000 people, specializes in onboard services and logistics.

originally known as the parent airline Hainan Airlines, HNA is now a giant conglomerate with interests in aerospace, finance, tourism and logistics. Has 180,000 employees worldwide and in 2015 joined a turnover of 29,000 million dollars (Other OTC: UBGXF – news).
