The IMF and the World Bank praised Argentina but warned about the poverty – The Reporter

The national Government yesterday received accolades in Washington, both from the International Monetary Fund as well as from the World Bank.
One of the first to do so was the managing director of the Fund, Christine Lagarde, who said that “the cooperation is now vastly different, and will offer rewards mutual”, commenting on the mission of the international agency that was until recently, during days in Argentina.
“I Just see the team, the mission that has just returned from Argentina. Had a positive and constructive relationship with the authorities, reported on their results, and this is something that was received positively,” added the head of the IMF in a statement to the EFE news agency.

The dialogue with journalists at the start of the Annual meeting of the IMF and the World Bank in Washington, Jim Yong Kim referred to the figures of the Indec, which indicated that during the second quarter of the year, 32.2% of the individuals were poor, while 6.3% were indigent. He warned that the data are “surprising”, while he warned, who also “are of concern”.
despite this, the owner of the World Bank assured the journalists that the agency has a positive view with regard to the future of Argentina.
The chief economist for Latin America and the Caribbean of the World Bank, Augusto de la Torre, recommended Wednesday to put in place a fiscal adjustment in the country, while evaluated that should be “the great rotation trade of export goods, in the areas of technology and innovation”.
The agency also estimated a recovery of 3% of GDP in Argentina to 2017, although he said that this year, registering a decline of 1.5%.
