Volkswagen starts to repair in Spain models of 1.2 liters with the engine souped-up – People in line

Madrid,10/10/2016(The People Online)-The group automobile German Volkswagen has begun to perform the operations of intervention in Spain on the vehicles affected by the software problem that altered the emissions of oxides of nitrogen (NOx) at the units that incorporate the motorization diesel TDI of 1.2 litres, according to ABC.

According to sources from Volkswagen group, the first customers are already receiving the communications from the company and have already carried out work in the first vehicles, which correspond to the model Polo Volkswagen and Seat Ibiza.

The corporation of the germans continues, in this way, the repairs that began last February with the model ‘pick-up’ Amarok riding the motorization diesel TDI 2.0-litre. These sources confirmed that the group’s goal is that all technical solutions are in place before the end of this year.

Among the models with the liter TDI engine of 2.0 liters that is already repaired by the Volkswagen group in Spain are the Volkswagen Amarok, Passat, CC, Tiguan, Golf, Touran, Jetta, Scirocco and Caddy, as well as the Audi A3, A4, A5, Q5 and A6, Seat Exeo, Altea, Ibiza and Leon, and the Skoda Superb and Octavia.

The sources of the company explained that, on the vehicles with the 1.2-liter engine as the 2.0-liter affected by the software that altered the emissions of NOx, the intervention consists in an update of the software, with an approximate duration of 30 minutes.
