Ana Botín, chairman of Santander, has urged the sector to continue working to regain the trust of their customers, one of the pending matters following the financial crisis. “Banking is based on trust. Banks must regain the trust of customers”, has stated the Loot, during the IX International Conference of Banking of Santander, which is celebrated today in the Financial City in Boadilla del Monte (Madrid).

“This means to act with more integrity and more transparency. But also with efficiency in order to ensure our financial soundness. The social capital and financial capital are the two pillars on which is based the trust in the banking system”, he noted.
