PayPal, the platform for online payments, announced Thursday the integration of its app with iOS 10 and Siri, the virtual assistant of Apple operating systems.
With this integration, users are now able to apply and make payments without the need of doing many actions beyond invoke Siri and ask you to do the transaction — all by way of voice commands in different languages.
The feature is available in Spanish, English, Portuguese, French, Italian, German, Arabic, cantonese, japanese, among others. The possibility of making payments with Siri is available in 30 countries, including the united States, Spain, Mexico and Brazil.
For sending money with the help of Siri, you just need to invoke the wizard and tell it to send an amount to a user; or in another case, asking for money to a user. Just say “Hey, Siri, send US$ 10 to Gabriel”, the application renders, it asks for a user confirmation and voila, the money is sent.
it is Not a surprise that PayPal make it so easy to send money as talking to your phone. In 2015, the company processed US$ 41,000 million by concept of sending money between people. For this year, PayPal says it expects to process US$ 17 million, only in December.
The possibility of sending money is due to iOS 10, the latest version of Apple’s mobile operating system, which allows third parties to take full advantage of Siri to make actions by means of Voice commands. In addition to PayPal, Uber and WhatsApp are other platforms that take advantage of this integration.
