The signature of Elon Musk purchased at Grohmann Engineering, a German firm specialized in automation of methods for manufacture.

The manufacturer of electric cars Tesla announced Tuesday the acquisition of Grohmann Engineering, a German company specialized in the automation of methods for manufacture.
The main goal of the purchase is to accelerate the production of cars, to comply with the production target of half a million cars by 2018 and achieve a reduction in manufacturing costs for the cars are more affordable.
“In conjunction with our engineering facilities in California and Michigan, and in other places below, we believe that will bring results exponential in the speed and quality of production, while achieving a reduction in the costs required by self”, points out the firm was founded and is run by Elon Musk in a press release.
The purchase of the German company will allow Tesla to increase production of its electric cars, which in recent years increased 400%.
In the third quarter of the year, Tesla reported the record production of 25,185 cars, a growth of 37% from the prior quarter and 92% from the same period a year earlier.
Klaus Grohmann, founder of Grohmann Engineering, will continue to lead the company based in Prüm, Germany.
Tesla reported that with the acquisition and leadership of Grohmann, will become the factory most advanced in the world. On the other hand, it is also expected that in the following two years will add 1,000 engineers and advanced creation of technical know-how in Germany.
Tesla reported that the acquisition is still subject to the authorities in that country so that he confided that the purchase is realised in a successful way at the beginning of 2017
