Capcom expect Resident Evil 7 to have a successful launch – LEVELUP

In a recent discussion with MCV, Antoine Molant, director of marketing for Capcom in the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East and Africa) pointed out that "commercially" Resident Evil 7 is the release’s largest Capcom for consoles of current generation. "Ideally, we’d love to sell 4 million copies globally in the first day. That would be great. The confidence is there," mentioned Molant.

The web site of Capcom shows that only 9 of their games (among which are Resident Evil 6 and Resident Evil 5) have sold over 4 million copies.
