The Spanish deficit without municipalities reaches 0.95% of GDP … – Investing.com Spain

MADRID (Reuters) – The deficit of all the Spanish government excluding municipalities stood at the end of February at 10.285 million euros, equivalent to 0.95 percent of GDP as advanced on Tuesday by the Ministry of Finance data.

In February 2014, the deficit stood at 1.01 percent of GDP.

In first quarter data relate exclusively to the central government, the government deficit reached 9.854 million euros, 0.91 percent of GDP compared to 1.12 percent recorded until February.

Spain has a deficit target for all public administrations of 4.2 percent of GDP in 2015, split between 2.9 percent for the central government, 0.7 percent for the regions, municipalities balanced budget and deficit 0.6 percent for Social Security.

The Independent Authority Fiscal Responsibility (trade show) recently warned of the risks of deviation of annual objectives for the evolution of the accounts of the Autonomous Communities (CCAA) and Social Security.

In the medium term commitment to fiscal consolidation, the Spanish Government deficit projected to fall to levels of 2.8 percent in 2016 and 1.1 percent of GDP in 2017.
