The Board of Directors of Telefónica unanimously approved the appointment of José María Álvarez-Pallete as president of the company, its Board of Directors and the Executive Committee.
the new president replaces Cesar Alierta, who left last March 29 his position as chairman of the Board of Directors of Telefónica after 16 years.
