Between Rivers closed by 2016 with a high rate of organ donation – Daily ONE Among Rivers

In 2016 will be held in Argentina 1.687 organ transplants and 937 transplants of corneas, which is to say that every five hours a person received an organ transplant. According to a report from the National Institute Unique Coordinator Coordinator of Ablations and Implants (Incucai), the total of 1.687 transplants, 1.121 were renal (740 with a deceased donor, and 381 with a living donor), 349 liver (312 with deceased donors and 37 with a living donor), 109 heart, 46 renopancreáticos, 33 lung, 17 hepatorrenales, 4 intestinal, 4 cardiorrenales, 2 pancreatic, 1 cardio and 1 cardiohepático. In addition were 937 cornea transplants.

in this regard, it was noted that 109 heart transplants performed, representing the highest figure recorded in these interventions.

We recorded 515 donors and reached a rate of donors per million inhabitants (PMH) 11,81 in the country. The provinces that had the highest rate were the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires with 25,82, Mendoza with 20.45 per, Between Rivers with 18,73 and Tucumán with 17,97.

The 515 donors came from 192 health-care facilities, and 63.5% of the donors were multiorgan.

The establishments with the highest number of organ donors were the Hospital Ángel Cruz Padilla, Tucumán with 26 donors; the Central Hospital of Mendoza, with 18 donors; Hospital Zonal General de Agudos Simply Prevents from Gonzalez Catan; the Emergency Hospital Dr. Clemente Alvarez; the Hospital San Martín de Paraná; and the Hospital Escuela de Agudos Dr. Ramón Madariaga, both with 16 donors.

In 2016 it was also observed a decrease in the tendency to the negative of the donation. The transplants were made possible by donors who expressed positive will to the donation, and also by the work and commitment of the health professionals.

In that sense, the Incucai noted the work to increase the number of donors based especially in the detection of potential donors with the implementation of the National Program of Integral Care of the Patient Neurocritical and Possible Donor in the areas of emergency, and developing professionalism in the procurement of organs and tissues through the Training Program Post-Basic Procurement and Transplantation.
