For the first time, Colombia will participate in Fitur 2017, the tourism trade fair of reference in Spain and one of the most important in the world, which will take place in Madrid from 18 to 22 January.
likewise, the country was nominated to stay with the international recognition as 'Best tourist destination Pop-up Lgbti'.
The purpose of the 51 entrepreneurs (23 operators, 13 hotels, 15 promotion entities representing 11 regions of the country and an airline) will be to promote the tourist offer, through the products of capital cities, honeymoons, weddings, and culture, reason for which they hope to close deals with the major wholesalers and tour operators of the world.
On the stand, visitors will have the opportunity to experience more eye-catching in nature and culture of Colombia, through technology.
"Procolombia arrives this year to the Fair with an exhibition concept that is innovative and purely experiential, focused on the offer of culture and nature, with sustainability criteria, in line with our strategy of promotion to 2017", said Felipe Jaramillo, president of Procolombia.
Mission Smes
This year, Procolombia leads the delegation the largest in number of tourist companies that are adapting their offer to the international market.
The Mission Smes 2017 is composed by 60 colombian entrepreneurs, which represents an increase of 43% with regard to 2016.
These entrepreneurs will receive training on the best way to sell their tourism products in the international market, through conferences with experts, working meetings and field visits in Madrid and its surroundings.
