Iberdrola wins 1.506 million through June, 7.4% more / Expansion / Iberdrola obtained in the first half Ebitda of 3.795 million, an increase of 5.7% over the same period of 2014.

Iberdrola has increased its profit by 7.4% in the first half 2015, until it reached 1.506 million euros. The company headed by Ignacio Sanchez-Galan has confirmed its forecast for this year to improve both recurring profit and gross operating profit (Ebitda) in the first half stood at 3.795 million.

The electric company specifies that the recurrent Ebitda increase, discounting the positive extraordinary that in the first mita said last year would have been 9.1%, in line with developments in the first quarter.

The improvement of the results is based on the development of international business, which grew by 20% and achieved partially offset the decline in activity in Spain, 6.5%. By branch of business, Iberdrola Networks has increased its EBITDA by 17.1% to 1806.3 million, while Renewable has made 18.9% to 824.7 million, driven by good results in the UK and Latin America. By contrast, areas of Generation and Trade has reduced its EBITDA by 11.7% to 1,262 million, due to lower hydroelectric production in Spain and the lack of extraordinary result which increased last year.

The total group sales stood at 16,126,000, representing an increase of 6.2%, while gross margin grew 7.5% to 6.634 million.
