A total of 13,013 people becomes autonomous in CyL with … – Washington Post

In the first quarter of 2014, self-employed accounted for 22.5% of employed compared to 18.4% of national average

A total of 13,013 citizens of Castilla y León has taken advantage of the flat rate of 50 euro contribution to Social Security to become autonomous, as reported on Tuesday, the Ministry of Employment and Social Security.

In Spain, the number of people turned into autonomous amounts to 267,964, of which nearly 41%, namely, 109,287, are young under 30. Meanwhile, in Castilla y León autonomous represented in the first quarter, 22.5 percent of the total employed population with 203,111 workers, compared to 18.4 nationwide average, which shows the weight of this group for the whole economy the Community, according to data provided by the Ministry of Economy and Employment.

In the first half of the year, there have been four consecutive months of positive data in Castilla 708 –with Leon autonomous in the last month and increased junio– 1,528 self-employed compared to the same month last year. Specifically, in the first six months of 2014, the number of self in the Community has increased by 2,085.

The flat rate of 50 euros for new self was introduced in Royal Decree-Law that supports entrepreneurs and stimulate growth and job creation approved by the Council of Ministers of 22 February 2013, as part of the Strategy for Entrepreneurship and Youth Employment 2013-2016.

This strategy includes a series of measures aimed at boosting youth recruitment and entrepreneurship to help reduce unemployment in those under 30 years. Subsequently, Law Entrepreneurs expanded the scope of the flat rate of 50 euros for all new self, regardless of their age.

This measure is that during the six months following the date the Special Scheme for Self-Employed (RETA), new entrepreneurs will benefit from a 80% share, so that the new self can contribute for the first half for 50 euros compared to 250 euros which usually trades on average. Subsequently, over the next six months, a further reduction on the basis of minimum 50% will apply.

After this period, the self-employed 30 or more years will benefit from a 30% reduction in their contributions in the next six months. Meanwhile, the men of 30 years and women to 35 will benefit from the maintenance of a reduction and a bonus on their contributions by 30% over the next 18 months.

This is sum Specific Support Plan for self-employed promoted by the Junta de Castilla y León in order “to meet the needs of this group” in coordination with existing ones.

For this, the Plan aims to “promote a culture of self-employment” facilitate “appropriate training” to improve its competitiveness, promote the implementation of new technologies and simplify administrative procedures that must undergo entrepreneurs.

In addition, aims to facilitate the promotion of self-employment and business cooperation, generational change, financing their investments and working capital, the implementation of active policies to promote and support the autonomous development of its business, and the creation and maintenance of employment, promotion of Corporate Social Responsibility and the dialogue between the industry and the regional government through a new Regional Autonomous Council.

In regard to the latter, is already processing the draft decree by the Register of Associations of Independent Workers of Castile and Leon, who will then in the regulation of the Regional Council itself is created as well as the evaluation criteria to determine the representativeness of these associations and their right to be present in the Council.
