Málaga stabilizes at 57,000 the number of foreign affiliates … – La Opinión de Málaga

Membership of foreigners in Malaga Social Security amounted to 57,890 people in July, which is almost 700 more than there were at this point last year. The number of foreigners working in Malaga are thus stabilized in this 2014 after several years of decline continued. With respect to the 2007 data, in the economic boom, Málaga has already lost more than 14,800 foreign workers, 20.7% of the nearly 72,000 who came to collect.

Romania topped the rankings, with 274,571 members, followed by Morocco (180,813 members), China (91,077) and Ecuador (78,796). By gender, the total membership in July, 852,405 were men and 748,359 women.

Catalonia is the region with the highest average number of foreign affiliates with 379,072 workers (23.68%), followed by the Community Madrid, with 329,459 (20.58%); Andalucía, 175,572 (10.97%) and Valencia, 165,525 (10.34%), according to the Ministry of Employment.
