Madrid (Europa Press) .- The Fund for Orderly Bank Restructuring ( FROB ) lodged an appeal to the Supreme Court after the High Court of Catalonia (TSJC) has confirmed a sentence that requires Catalunya Banc (CX) to pay 1.2 million in compensation payments when Adolf Todó president and former CEO Jaume Masana, according to Europa Press in legal sources.
The agency led by Antonio Carrascosa is ready, according to sources, to get “to the end” to avoid paying these allowances. The TSJC dismissed the appeal by CX to a judgment of a court in Barcelona, declaring unlawful the dismissal of Todó and Masana.
The judgment required the company to reinstate two officers or pay compensation 600,000 euros each. The FROB ceased to Todó Masana and the May 10, 2013.
Catalunya Banc received around 12,000 million euros in public aid for refloating, which makes the entity in which more state money has necessitated by assets.
BBVA acquired the former Catalan bank 1,187 million last July. Under the chairmanship of Francisco González holds weekly meetings with members of the FROB to analyze the part of business and risk CX until the purchase transaction, scheduled for January 2015 formalized, according to Europa Press has stated in official sources BBVA .
