Carlos Jarque, new CEO of FCC Slim – The Economist

The Mexican economist and adviser of Carlos Slim business group in office relieves Juan Béjar.

The Mexican magnate Carlos Slim, the main shareholder the Spanish FCC Construction, with 25.6% of the capital, has placed one of his henchmen as the new CEO of the construction group.

The FCC board today appointed Mexican economist Carlos Manuel Jarque new CEO group, replacing Juan Béjar.

Jarque has studied Actuarial Science, Finance, Economy and Urban and Regional Planning. He studied BA at Anahuac University and holds graduate of the School of Economics in London, the University of Oslo, the National University of Australia, and Harvard.

The appointment of Jarque as chief executive FCC has place nine months after Carlos Slim entered the capital services and construction group, which is listed as the largest shareholder, with 25.6% of its capital, in which Esther Koplowitz has 22.4 percent.
