Eurozone trade surplus recorded in June 26400 mde – The Economist

The euro zone recorded a trade surplus of 26,400 million euros in June, much higher than the 16,000 million euros a year ago, announced the European statistics office Eurostat.

According to preliminary estimates, exports of goods to the rest of the world rose to 182.700 million euros, 12% more than a year ago, and imports from the rest of the world were worth 156,400 million euros , 7% more than in June 2014.

In the first six months of the year, exports of goods from the euro zone to the rest of the world rose to 1.011 billion euros, an increase of 6% over the same period of 2014, and imports were 896.700 million, 3% more than in the first half of 2014.

The result is that the euro area recorded a surplus of 115,000 million euros the first half, compared with 76,400 million last year.
