J.D. Kia Power awards with first place in their satisfaction study 2016 – Today Los Angeles

The consultant JD Power recognized the Korean brand Kia, as the car brand highest score in his study of 2016 Initial Quality (IQS) of 33 car brands in the United States.

Kia has grown steadily in US sales for the past four years to overcome the annual mark of 600,000 units, and so has the brand performance in the initial quality study JD Power.

To mark the first time in 27 years that a brand is not fancy has topped the ranking, the rise of Kia was initially driven by sales of the leaders in the segment, as the Sportage and Soul, while Rio, Forte and Sorento, classified in the top three in their respective categories.

After having become a leader in the design, quality and technology, Kia reached this historic mark of being the number one market, said a spokesman for JD Power.

“to be the number one throughout the industry for our initial quality it is the result of the approach of a decade Kia crafts and continuous improvement, and reflects the voice of our customers, which is the ultimate affirmation, “said Michael Sprague, chief operating officer and executive vice president of Kia.

“This award as the mark of highest rank in the industry, makes it clear that there is no doubt Kia is a car manufacturer world-class”, I stated Sprague.

After entering the top 10 overall for the first time in 2013, Kia was placed second in the industry in 2015.

in 2015, Kia ranked second in 2015, but won first place among non-premium (luxury), makes this year.

Porsche (84 PP100) ranks second among all brands, followed by Hyundai (92 PP100), Toyota (93 PP100) and BMW ( 94 PP100).

in its 30 years, the study of annual Initial Quality (IQS) by JD Powers analyzes responses from vehicle owners in 26 segments.

the IQS is determined by vehicle owners to assess performance experience, engine and transmission range and a wide range of problems related to quality within the first 90 days of ownership.
