Madrid, 18 nov (EFE).- The Spanish consortium in charge of the work of the AVE between Mecca and Medina and the Saudi arabian authorities reached an agreement in principle that resolved the differences that arose between the two parties and clears the way for the completion of the works.

This agreement in principle was advanced today by the Spanish Ministry of Promotion, though for the moment has not been detailed its contents.

The president of Renfe (rail spain) and the consortium, Pablo Vázquez, he had traveled to Saudi Arabia to try to reach a global agreement on the additional time periods and additional costs associated with this project.
