The Tokyo stock exchange closed on Monday with a decline of 1.29%, under the impact of a strong rise of the yen against the dollar after the inauguration of Donald Trump as president of the united States, which opens a period of uncertainty.

index Nikkei 225 leading values lost 246,88 points and ended the session in 18.891,03 points.

For its part, the index expanded Topix declined 1,23%

(-18,83 points) to close at 1.514,63 points.

In regards to the currency, the dollar fell to 113,30 yen, compared to the 114,80 yen Friday to close. The euro was priced too low, to 121,80 ¥ (front 122,55 Friday).
