Madrid, April 6 (EFE) .- Renfe raised their losses last year to 209 million euros compared to a loss of 3.6 million in 2013, despite gains Ave, which had a net profit of 9 million, according to sources from the operator.
Although revenues experienced a 5.7% increase over fiscal 2013, up the 2.967 million euros, they could not offset the increase by 7% (181.1 million euros) of operating expenses, to 2751.86 million.
Of this increase , 110 million euros corresponded to the increase of the fee paid Renfe Adif for the use of roads. For this concept, Renfe paid last year to ADIF 607,440,000 euros, representing an increase of 22.2% compared to 497.14 million in 2013.
The traffic revenues rebounded 4.7%, an increase of 12.5% in Renfe Goods and 5.1% in Renfe Travelers. In high-speed services and long distance revenue grew 6.1% compared to 2013, while the PSO (Public Service Obligation), 2.3%.
Gross operating profit (EBITDA) stood at 214.7 million euros in 2014, representing a decrease of 9.3% from 236.75 million a year earlier.
