MADRID (Reuters) – Spain releases or evictions were reduced in the first quarter by 11.6 percent over the same period of 2015, a report showed on Monday statistical section of the General Council of the Judiciary.
overall , 16,869 were those made pitches, of which 54.4 percent were for rents, 41.8 percent to foreclosures and the rest to other causes.
releases linked to leases decreased by 8.4 percent while derivatives foreclosures fell 14.8 percent.
Meanwhile, foreclosures started between 1 January and March 31 totaled 14,175, 29.8 percent less than in the first quarter of 2015.
This is the lowest quarterly figure since the third quarter of 2008, when 13,487 foreclosures were initiated in the beginning of the economic crisis in Spain by the bursting of the housing bubble.
The foreclosure is a process that begins banks before a default and you can stop the delivery of housing if the loan installments are not met. The launch of a housing (popularly known as “eviction”) occurs after the execution and refers to the act by which it deprives a person of the material possession of the property.
evictions became one of the harshest consequences of the crisis, sparking protests and campaigns calling for measures to alleviate the burdens family and put more housing available to the most disadvantaged, including property sectors were empty when builders went bankrupt.
