Lenovo enters the virtual reality, the gaming and virtual assistants – Hypertext

Lenovo introduced during CES 2017 a new range of new products electronic, ranging from computers gaming to virtual assistants for the home.

The most striking are the virtual reality goggles under the platform Windows Holographic. It has two panels OLED with a resolution of 1440 x 1440 pixels, exceeding the specifications of Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. They also are lighter in weight: 350 grams compared to 555 others like the Living.

To generate a 3D map of the environment, the virtual reality goggles from Lenovo come with two cameras in the front. Other solutions such as HTC Live use different trackers distributed by the game room to control the space.

The glasses of virtual reality of Lenovo are at the stage of development, but the company expected to reach the market during the second half of 2017 at a price lower than $ 400.

Simultaneously, the manufacturer revealed the family of computers “Legion”, directed to the world of video games. Its first two members are Y720 and Y520, two laptops of 15.6 inches with Intel seventh-generation, GPU Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 and 1060, screens 4K, designs, aggressive, and batteries of up to 60WHr.

in Addition to these new products, Lenovo’s also unveiled a new virtual assistant for the home —similar to Amazon Echo or Google Home— known as Lenovo Smart Assistant.

The new product will hit the stores in may at a price of $ 130. The company also will market a version with Harman Kardon speaker for $ 180.
