The consortium, made up by Cisca, the entrepreneur Carlos Slim, and ICA, among other companies, won the tender to build the terminal building of the New International Airport of Mexico City (Naicm), the most important work of the entire project.
The winning bid, with a score of 95 out of 100, was 84 thousand 828 million pesos; the building will begin this year.
The other companies members of the winning consortium are Building and Uplifting GIA, Promoter and Developer of Mexican, Promoter and Developer of Mexican Infrastructure, The Peninsular Construction Company, Operator and Technical Management, Acciona Infraestructuras, Acciona Infraestructuras Mexico, FCC Construcción and FCC Industrial e Infraestructuras Energéticas.
The terminal building will have 743 thousand square meters of construction, with 95 positions and contact 68 to the remote, equivalent to 1.5 times the sum of terminals 1 and 2 of the current airport, and will be the third largest on a global scale —after Dubai and Beijing; with this infrastructure will be able to cater for up to 68 million passengers per year, with 855 thousand operations a year —the double of now.
After giving the verdict, the actions of ICA quoted in the Mexican Stock market soared, which was an increase of 16 per cent, to close at 3.43 pesos, when its previous price was 2.94.

The Airport Group of Mexico City (GACM) pointed out that the proposal of the consortium of the Omega Builders and Rubau Mexico was dismissed for failure to comply with the requirements in the technical part of it.
The other business group that participated in the bidding was that of Mota engil, from portugal, and Jaguar Engineers; however, obtained lower scores (90.8) than that of Cisca and ICA.
The GACM indicated that, as agreed, in the next few days will be the advance payment of 30 percent of the 84 billion pesos the consortium of Cisca and ICA to start the work.
For his part, Federico Patiño, director general of the GACM, mentioned that it has a term of 30 days for the signing of the contract on this project with the winning companies.

She explained that one of the reasons for choosing the group of Cisca is committed to completing work on the terminal building which is 20 days earlier than stated.

Also, Yuriria Mascott, secretary of Transportation, Secretary of Communications and Transport, reported that according to the times of building of the terminal building, is served in a timely manner so that the Naicm to be delivered before the end of this administration.
Mascott explained that in 2018 already have built two runways, the control tower and the terminal building.
