Expansion / consumer confidence rose in December by 1.3 points compared to November and close the year above 100 points.
Spanish consumers showed last month, a better perception of the economic situation, which led to the Indicator of Consumer Confidence (ICC) to the 100,7 points, peak in 2016.
The indicator whose update has been made public today by the Sociological Research Centre (CIS) has been mainly driven by the improvement in the index of current situation, which has grown by 3.7 points compared to November and that compensates for the dim fall of future expectations, which have dropped 0.9 points.
The indicator, however, is still far from the highs of the 107,4 points that was registered by the ICC at the end of 2015, although it has exceeded the sharp declines experienced in October and September of last year.
