In a study published on Wednesday, Kantar WorldPanel said that the manufacturer of the apple has three smartphones that are better sold in the united States during the quarter prior to Christmas, when people buy gifts for christmas time.

The iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 6S Plus were the three phones are better sold during the period, said Kantar. Thanks to these sales, Apple rose to 31 per cent of sales of smartphone, combining the sales of the three phones in the U.S. Samsung, on the other hand, are formed with the positions of the fourth and fifth, being there, the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, which both gave Samsung the 28.9 percent of sales in the region.

But the good news for Apple does not end there. Kantar says that the presence of Android fell both in the united States such as the Uk and France, while iOS grows in presence in those regions.

“For Android, this is the sixth period of loss in the U.S.,” says Kantar. “Android won 55.3 percent of sales, a decline of 60.4 percent, which he received in the same quarter of the previous year”.

despite the good news, Apple still has problems in Asia, says Kantar. In China, sales took a fall to stand at 19.9 percent, although the healthy sales of the iPhone 7 are trying to counteract the low. In comparison, 80 per cent of phones sold in China were Android phones.

The information of Kantar does nothing more than confirm what we already knew: the iPhone was the gift preferred this Christmas.

The study said that it would be almost impossible to get an iPhone 7 (in particular in one of the two new shades) during Christmas, users were able to get the brand new phone from Apple to consolidate it as the gadget more gifted in December, according to Piper Jaffray, Flurry and now Kantar.
