EU provides aid to Greece despite distrust – El Universal (Venezuela)

BRUSSELS The European Commission announced Friday that deliver 2,000 million euros to Greece in severe liquidity situation, while Eurozone leaders urged Athens to present its list of reforms promised as soon possible.

The 2,000 million euro development funds are unused and should be used to “boost growth,” he told a press conference the President of the Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker, Efe.

“Do not go into the coffers of the Greek state,” said Juncker at the end of the EU summit, during which the Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, lasted until the early morning hours negotiating with the leaders of Germany, France and the creditor institutions of Athens in Brussels.

The Greek government will present its reforms in the “coming days,” said a statement after the long meeting.

Athens should “invest this money in favorable sectors for growth prospects for provide an answer to the problem of mass unemployment of young people, “said Juncker.

The atmosphere in European capitals and Brussels is seriously facing a crisis that continues, and that could lead to the exit of Greece from the euro.

The Hellenes urgently needed funds, to 7,000 million euros, to address medium-term debt maturities in both markets as the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

But European partners choose the time for giving a lime and sand to Athens, to force him to submit clear proposals.

That was the commitment made by the leaders of the euro zone on February 20.

“I think it would be good for Greece to fulfill their commitments, I believe there is willingness on the part of everyone,” said Spanish Prime Minister, Mariano Rajoy.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who had warned before coming to Brussels that could not expect a quick resolution of a meeting that did not include all members of the eurozone, stressed that the earlier introduced reforms, and approved, the faster you can turn to Athens financial aid.

The French president, François Hollande, adopted again by adopting a conciliatory tone.

“The spirit of mutual trust that prevailed this morning will allow a solution to what is called the Greek problem,” he said.
