CCOO and UGT hold strike next week in … – Yahoo Finance Spain

MADRID, 10 (EUROPA PRESS)

The industry federations CCOO and UGT keep the strike call scheduled for the next 15 , 16, 22, 23, 29 and 30 April in subcontracts of Telefónica, having failed mediation have maintained this morning unions with employers in Interconfederal Service Mediation and Arbitration (SIMA).

“This union expected to strike the 15th is so massive that companies do understand that it is more profitable to professionalize the sector precarizarlo to the end”, pointed out from CCOO.

The unions have explained that the act of mediation SIMA that took place this morning with Confemetal, Ademi and Ametic employers, which are associated with the companies concerned, has not given “no result”, which has been deposited and sealed in Directorate Employment General’s call to “give legal cover” the workers that they support.

In this regard, remember that some technical lead on indefinite strike since Tuesday, April 7. AST called an indefinite strike that lasted four days, but that has not been supported by UGT and CCOO, who have warned that this call has been made “on questionable legal and formal terms.”

One of the directors of communication of the strikers has, however, pointed to Europa Press that the call for AST is having a “good” host and monitoring “wide” between 90% and 100% in major cities Barcelona, Madrid, Bilbao, Alava, Vitoria and Seville, while in other provinces unemployment is still “uneven” because, although autonomous and subcontractors if seconded, direct templates for contracts “are you scared”.

REGULATORY FRAMEWORK TO PREVENT PRECARIOUSNESS

At the meeting on Friday with employers, CCOO has called for the need to establish a regulatory framework for the working conditions of the sector in all areas, to avoid “excessive insecurity and unfair competition” between enterprises by way of salary reduction.

CCOO has also asked to create a control mechanism for the subcontracting chain to avoid precarious working conditions suffer autonomous sector in most of the false self cases and dependent self.

“Some workers who too often were dismissed by the companies subcontracted by Telefónica and now perform workdays much higher than established by labor legislation, which precarious working conditions and endangers the health and safety “have pointed out.

In this sense, UGT has denounced subcontractors require their employees to work on conditions of “semi-slavery”, with days from Monday to Sunday than eight hours, and increasingly “meager” wages of only 600 euros.

BUSINESS WILLING TO UNLOCK THE CONFLICT

Also, unions have reported a second meeting in the headquarters of the employer with companies that represent 40% of the sector’s turnover. In this, CCOO has moved the same claims raised in the SIMA and Elecnor, Cobra and Abentel you have been willing to “unlock” the conflict, say from CCOO.

UGT sources consulted by Europa Press have pointed out that companies are willing to “sit down and talk.” These sources have clarified that, regardless of any contractual agreements between subcontractors and Telefónica, the important thing is “improving conditions” of technicians.

“At least we regularize the sector and respects the Provincial Convention of the metal in each province sector, “he added.

CCOO and UGT agreed to meet again next week in a negotiation in which all companies in the sector will be present week.
