Authorize purchase of Aer Lingus by IAG – The Economist

The Irish government gave the green light to the acquisition of Aer Lingus by International Airlines Group by transferring the 25.1% it holds in the airline.
 

Dublín.- The Irish government on Tuesday gave the green to buy Aer Lingus light by International Airlines Group (IAG) by transferring the 25.1% it holds in the airline, announced the Minister of Transport, Paschal Donohoe.

“The government has decided to support the proposal of IAG,” Donohoe said in a statement.
