The European Commission said a preliminary estimate showed that the indicator of consumer morale in the euro zone stood in -5.6 points. The May reading was revised down to the same level, due to a review of the historical series of the survey in Ireland.
In the European Union as a whole, consumer confidence rose 0.7 -3.3 points.
