The Greek Finance Minister, Yanis Varoufakis, unexpectedly announced his resignation on Monday, a day after the victory of the “No” referendum on the proposal for its creditors held on Sunday.
“Shortly after the announcement of the referendum results, I was informed that some members of the Eurogroup and its partners wanted my ‘no’ meetings, one idea that Prime Minister [Alexis Tsipras] judged potentially useful for an agreement, “Varoufakis said in his blog. “Therefore leave from the Ministry of Finance today,” said Varoufakis
“What they are doing with Greece has a name: terrorism.”, Said the former minister on Saturday in an interview Spanish newspaper El Mundo. In it, Varoufakis accused Europe of having “become almost without our noticing enemy of democracy” and said that if he won the “Yes” in the referendum, resign as minister “in the moment” in which made official the result.

Despite get the result you expected the Greek people, Yanis Varoufakis had to resign under pressure from some members of the Eurogroup. .
