NYSE closed with gains. Nasdaq brand new record – Televisa News

MEXICO CITY, Mexico, in July. 17,2015.- The Nasdaq closed again on Friday in record driven by robust quarterly results from Google levels, while weakness in the energy sector weighed on the Dow and the S & amp index P 500 in the bag . New York

According to preliminary calculations, the Dow Jones industrial average lost 33.80 points (0.19%) and closed at 18086.45 points, while the S & amp index; P 500 gained 2.35 points (0.11%) and ended in 2126.64 units. Meanwhile, the Nasdaq Composite gained 46 959 points (0.91%) and closed at 5210.143 units.

On Friday, the major equity markets closed mixed, but managed to post strong weekly gains. And the Nasdaq was the star of the session, thanks to the actions of Google.

Google quotes soared -a maximum trading- day after announcing that in the second quarter had earnings per share that beat Wall Street estimates, sending the technology index at peak levels.

Keep in mind that good corporate earnings are signs that the economy of the United States is ignoring the factors transient, and possibly the Gross Domestic Product in the second period of the year is more encouraging.

With this, the chances that the Federal Reserve (Fed) decided not to continue delaying the rate hike will also increase . “It’s time to raise interest rates has come,” said Stanley Fischer, vice president of the Fed, during an event.

However, slight decreases in oil prices led to pressures on actions of energy, causing the selective index had difficulty moving forward.

But another factor that was latent in the minds of investors is that not everyone believes that the third bailout of Greece will be enough.

In fact, the executive director of the International Monetary Fund, Christine Lagarde criticized the Greek plan, arguing that only cover a fraction of the funds that have been granted.

Here, Fischer explained that it is necessary to reduce Greece’s debt by a restructuring of the same, to work together with European members.
