The household debt back down in May – Investing.com Spain

MADRID (Reuters) – The debt of Spanish households fell again slightly in May for the fourth consecutive month to levels not seen since August 2006, just before the economic crisis.

According to data provided Wednesday by the Bank of Spain, the balance of loans of Spanish households in May stood at 736 080 million euros, 0.25 percent less than in April and more than one three percent below the figure a year ago.

Of the total loans, 575 277 000 correspond to housing loans.
