Tsipras said that today the people take charge of their destiny – Terra Peru

The Greek prime minister, Alexis Tsipras, said today that the people sent from the referendum that the important message that “take charge of their destiny” was held today.

“The will of the government, many can ignore it. The will of the people, no,” Tsipras said after casting his vote at his polling station in the popular neighborhood of Kipseli Athens.

The prime minister said that “the Greek people today sends a message that you are holding your destination, today democracy overcomes fear, determination overcomes fear propaganda”.

In a crowded polling station by the cameras and amid the applause of citizens Tsipras also launched a pro-European message to emphasize that today’s vote is “a message of determination, not only to stay but to live with dignity in Europe. ”

“I am very optimistic,” Tsipras said, regarding the outcome in the referendum taking place today on the proposed resolution of the creditors in exchange for ransom.

The prime minister has asked the population to rule with a resounding “no” to the proposal and said that whatever the outcome, then immediately sit at the negotiating table to sign an agreement with institutions (European Commission, European Central Bank, International Monetary Fund).

Meanwhile, the coalition partner and leader of the nationalist Independent Greeks Panos Kamenos said that “people are not afraid” and not fall into the “lies” spread some “analysis” on alleged remove deposits.

This alluded to reports the British newspaper Financial Times on the eve of the referendum, according to which the Government is preparing to remove excess of 8,000 euros deposit, claim that both the Ministry of Finance as the President of the Greek Union of Banking, Luka Katseli, categorically denied

“The people are not afraid. Do not forget that democracy was born in Greece,” Kamenos, who voted in a neighborhood on the coast of said Athens.
