Google will pay $ 185 million in back taxes – TVN Panama

After reaching an agreement with the British Treasury, Google agreed to pay 130 million pounds ($ 185 million) for taxes covered between 2005 and 2015 and agreed to pay taxes based in part, to the income earned by advertising companies based in the islands.

“Today we are announcing that we will pay more taxes in the UK. The rules are changing internationally and Government of UK takes the lead in implementing these rules, so we will change what we do here, “he said in an interview with BBC head of Google in Europe, Matt Brittin.

“We want to ensure that pay the amount owed in taxes,” clinched.

Although the UK is one of the largest markets in the Internet company outside the United States, Google has there paid much less tax than you would play for turnover to have their European headquarters in Ireland, where the tax burden is much lower.

This practice, which also accuses other large technology companies, he has earned Google allegations of tax evasion by various politicians and European organizations.

So far, the company based in Mountain View (California USA) paid his taxes in UK not on sales to advertisers, but only to the benefits in that country.
