Lagarde said that the refugee crisis threatens Schengen – El Universal (Venezuela)

Davos, Switzerland .- The Managing Director of International Monetary Fund (IMF), Christine Lagarde, said the refugee crisis in Europe has reached a point that must be resolved or can threaten the continuity of Schengen.

Speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Lagarde insisted that the refugee crisis is a particular risk for the survival of the Schengen area, he said Efe.

Schengen is an agreement based on the free movement of persons between the signatory European countries.

“We are improving the overall value of our economies,” he said.
