BMW introduced the BMW i8 Protonic Red Edition in Geneva – Terra Colombia

Last year, global sales of the BMW i8 exceeded the combined figures of other sports hybrid vehicles produced by other manufacturers. The BMW i8 Protonic Red Edition will be manufactured in Leipzig from July.

The first line of these special edition models is the BMW i8 Protonic Red Edition. This version will be available for a limited time. This vehicle configuration 2 + 2, polymer reinforced with carbon fiber (CFRP for its acronym in English) in the compartment, and the BMW eDrive technology, will be produced at the BMW plant in Leipzig from next month July. The paint will carry is called Protonic Red with colored accents Frozen Grey metallic. The color scheme is complemented by some wheels Light alloy wheels W-shaped BMW 470 design and color Orbit Grey Metallic with matt Aluminium color calipers (front tires: 215/45 R20, rear tires: 245/40 R20) . Inside this special inaugural edition of the BMW i8, double seams are shown in red and also highlight applications of carbon fiber and ceramic, same as provide evidence of their exceptionally sporting character.

In 2015, sales of the BMW i3 and BMW i8 were about 66% over the previous year to 29.513 deliveries. Currently, BMW i the BMW i3 offers a total of 36 countries.
