the Google offices in Paris received an unexpected visit from the local police, who got there looking for evidence of tax fraud technology giant, as reported by local media.

according to a report from 9to5Mac citing local media in Paris, specialized in financial crimes police raided the offices of the company located in District 9 of the capital in search of evidence to confirm an alleged tax fraud in which the company would be immersed.

the source says at least a hundred officers have appeared in it on the premises of the company in the early morning hours secretly to avoid the destruction of evidence.

“The operation was conducted in secret and carried out without using the service of notice to prevent leaks” related to the matter to local press sources they said.

France is trying to gather information showing that Google would have used its financial architecture to stop paying 1,600 million euros (about US $ 1.800 billion) in that country. Should the specialized police able to demonstrate that the money be paid in that country, that would be a blow to Google much harder than it suffered in UK, where he made a pact with the government repayment of US $ 270 million owed in taxes.
