More suspicions about the former president of Volkswagen by the scandal of the souped-up engines – euronews

Martin Winterkorn, president of Volkswagen group is once again in the crosshairs of the German Prosecution by the scandal of the pollutant emissions.

If Winterkorn was already investigated for an alleged crime of manipulation of the markets, is now also suspected of other alleged crime of fraud. The prosecution considers that the exdirectivo "could have known" of the manipulation long before the date on which it was officially recognized that millions of vehicles had a computer program to hide their real emissions.

Winterkorn had denied only a week ago any prior knowledge in an appearance before the commission of inquiry of the Bundestag.

The records of offices and homes of the 37 people under investigation have continued in these last days.
