Rajoy announces an 11 percent reduction of airport charges in five years – Pysn Pueblo and Society News

The president of the Spanish government, Mariano Rajoy, has announced today that the Council of Ministers will approve the next Friday, the first document regulating Aviation, which provides for a 11% reduction of the tariffs of the airports in the period of five years, until 2021, it advances the agency EFE.

Rajoy made this announcement during his intervention in the Forum ABC. In the name of increasing the competitiveness of Spain, the government promises to be a "permanent reform".

The airport charges are fees paid by the passenger at the airport, whose value is set by each one of the airports in accordance with the services rendered, such as the use of the terminal, runways, among others.

Spain broke in 2016, the barrier of the 75 million foreign tourists, representing an increase of 9.9% over the previous year and a historic record. In the amount spent by tourists reached 77 billion, which represented an annual increase of 8.3%.
