Price of new housing grew in Spain, 3.3% in 2016 – globovision.com

The price of new housing increased in Spain a 3.3 per cent in 2016 and chained two consecutive years of increases, according to a report released Monday by the Society of Appraisal Spanish.

Although the price of new housing increased in 2016 in the major Spanish cities between July-December of 2016, the variance was not uniform.

The price increases most significant occurred in Barcelona and Madrid, with an increase in half-yearly by 3.8 % and 2.8 %, respectively.

With these data, the number of years of full wages, that a Spanish citizen means a need to allocate for the purchase of an average house is situated in 7.5 years.

The report says that in 2016 consolidated the stabilization of the sector thanks to the growth of the sales, the prices, the improvement in the accessibility to credit and the macro-economic growth.

Also, it aims to maintain the current economic conditions and forecasts advanced to 2017, it is likely that the sector will experience a growth cycle mild in most cases.
