Building infrastructure “will allow us to ensure a long period of growth and job creation,” said Rajoy, who presides over a country with a rate of unemployment of 23.7%.
“Energy Union is one of the priorities of the European Commission,” Juncker, who said the goal is to reach in 2020 to an interconnection of at least 10% between stated all EU countries.
The presidents of Spain and France agreed to the resumption of gas pipeline project linking Catalonia with the south of France. The plan approved today is preceded by the opening last month of the electrical interconnection between Spain and France over 56 kilometers on a project with a total investment of 700 million euros.
