SPAIN: The number of foreclosures in Spain grows … – EntornoInteligente

ABC of Spain 2 / The number of foreclosures on primary residences stood at 34,680 in 2014, a figure 7.4% higher than in 2013, according to statistics Foreclosure published Thursday by the National Statistics Institute (INE).

In the fourth quarter of last year 8,819 foreclosures on primary residences were recorded, 29.9% more than in the previous quarter and 2 , 9% more than in the fourth quarter of 2013.

The main objective of this statistic is quarterly certifications provide the number of foreclosures started and registered in the Land Registries during the reference quarter. Statistics remember that not all foreclosures end with the launch (eviction) of their owners.

In 2014 119,442 foreclosures were initiated, 9.3% more than in 2013. Of these, 113,916 affected urban farms (where homes are included) and 5,526 to rustic properties.

Foreclosures on urban properties increased by 9.3% compared to 2013. Within urban farms, 70,078 executions were for homes, up 5.9%, of which 44 682 dwellings were executions on individuals
