MADRID (Reuters) – The number of Spaniards registered as unemployed fell 1.3 percent in March from the previous month, or 60,214 persons to 4.45 million They showed on Monday to the Ministry of Labour.
The fall in unemployment in March was the steepest recorded in that month since 2002, the ministry said.
The unemployment rose in January for the first time since October, marking the end of the Christmas season, but returned to sag in February.
The number of unemployed fell by 343,927 people, or 7.2 percent in March compared to the same month last year.
