It will be 3,300 million euros

The European Central Bank (ECB) raised Friday for the second time in week limit emergency aid granted to the Greek authorities, a Greek banking source said, without revealing how much this limit is increased.

On , the semi-official Greek agency ANA said the increase will be EUR 3,300 million , the largest amount since, in February, the ECB decided to fund Greek banks only through that mechanism.

In any case, this amount would be in line with the alarming figures circulating for days on the withdrawal of savings by families and Greek companies, fearful that capital controls imposed in the event of failure EU summit on Monday, and would have reached 3,000 million euros this week.

According to the same banking source, however, “they have not been found funding problems of Greek banks” and ” Governors expect a positive “outcome of the summit in Brussels.

The last increase in the aid ceiling dates back to Wednesday: the ECB rose 1,100 million, up to 84,100 million euros

given the green light to disbursement of 7,200. million expected for almost a year by the Hellenic country, this would make a general relief, but Athens and its creditors (IMF, EU and ECB) have not yet agreed on the package of reforms that Greece must implement for that tranche of aid
