ATHENS, Greece, Aug. 6 2015.- The Athens stock exchange closed on Thursday for the first time higher after its reopening on Monday, rebound that led the banks, which had closed Wednesday at a record low.
At the end of Parquet, the general index stood at 666.68 points, a 3.6% increase on Wednesday, with a volume of transactions in the fourth day reached 74.06 million euros.
The banks, which in the first three days had accumulated losses of up to 70%, closed on Thursday with a rise of 17.78%, followed by the titles of the health sector, with increases of 14.89 percent.
The Athens Stock Exchange had resumed operations on Monday after five weeks closed by the imposition of capital controls, though domestic investors are still subject to many restrictions.
