MADRID, Aug 18 (Reuters) – Mexican tycoon Carlos Slim, the main shareholder of FCC wants Carlos Jarque, a Mexican officer of America Movil, replacing Juan Béjar as CEO of the Spanish group construction and services, Cinco Dias said Tuesday.
A spokesman for FCC I asked about it would not comment on the report.
Jarque, of 60, is director of international, corporate and government affairs Slim telecommunications operator and is an expert in economics and statistics, the paper said, citing “reliable sources” he said.
Slim took a stake in FCC to 25.6 percent last year and is expected that the current CEO Juan Bejar, leaves office for the construction find a replacement before the end of September, for which FCC hired an executive search firm worldwide to search for potential candidates.
