Eurostat, the agency European statistics, has reported that in June the unemployment rate in the eurozone was 11.1%, down from 11.6% in the same month in 2014.
Meanwhile, in the European area – Reuters adds that index was 9.6%, down from 10.2% in June last year.
The results of Eurostat indicate that in June the unemployment rate in the EU reached 23 million 296 thousand people, of which 76.21%, ie 17.756 million in the euro area.
In comparison with May this year, the total number of unemployed fell by 32,000 in the European bloc, however, increased by 31,000 in the common currency region.
It is important to consider that the measures being taken by the debtor countries, have worsened the so meager in terms of employment levels.
